Description:Job Description Job Title: Machine Maintenance TechnicianDepartment: Production Reports to: Project Manager FLSA Status: Non - Exempt Full Time
The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in an industrial or manufacturing setting. This includes performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting machine issues, repairing mechanical and electrical components, and ensuring that machines meet safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repairs: o Basic maintenance and repairs on machines o Performing basic diagnostic tests o Checking the performance of the machine o Cleaning and lubricating machinery o Testing damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessaryo Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery o Performing regular inspections of machinery and equipment o Fulfilling other duties such as building maintenance as assigned o Assist with the setup, installation, and calibration of new equipment and machinery. o Respond to and resolve emergency machine breakdowns promptly to reduce operational disruptions. o Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during maintenance activities o Stay updated on new maintenance techniques, tools, and machinery to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements: Requirements: o Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions o Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. o Ability to read technical schematics and manuals. o Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. o Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. --- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when necessary.--- Work Environment: The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective clothing such as hairnets, gloves, and aprons. For the most part, the position is exposed to ambient room temperature. --- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. --- Experience: 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field, including experience with machine troubleshooting, repairs, and installation. --- MUST BE BILINGUAL (ENG-SPA
