Job Description
Responsible for performing gage calibrations and maintenance;
maintaining the measurement equipment Calibration database; issuing
and collecting gages to users and retrieving gages due for
calibration/repair, and other inspection activities as needed.
Maintains quality records and calibration KPI's ,generates NCRs and
assists in containment of non-conforming product due to Gage
Failure or gage out of calibration.
The working time can be 6:30 to 5pm, to allow overlap of 1.5 hrs in
2nd shift.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions, Key Tasks, & Responsibilities (include the
following, other duties may be assigned)
o Performs calibration functions on all testing and measuring
equipment throughout all Manufacturing operations.
o Monitor and maintain the Calibration KPI's for DTC.
o Work with cross functional team and timely escalates if KPI's not
met or Gage is overdue or out of calibration.
o Performs calibration according to written and automated
procedures on measuring and testing equipment, tools, gauges, and
fixtures as defined by the calibration schedule.
o Coordinates the calibration process with a certified outside
vendor. Maintains clear and concise records to facilitate timely
problem identification, development of department procedures and to
comply with internal and external regulations.
o Process the Requisition and purchase order in system.
o Adjust and repair gages that is found to be out of tolerance and
escalates to concerned stakeholders.
o Dispositions obsolete, broken, or otherwise unusable gages.
o Support inspections for incoming and in process components and
maintain the Quality Inspection System records.
o Utilizes all gages, tools and measuring equipment required for
Inspection support including providing measurements for
blueprinting various components.
o Evaluation of non-conforming product/materials that are not
within specifications. Assist in coordinating non- conforming
product to the proper areas awaiting disposition.
o Observe all safety rules and maintains proper housekeeping using
5S techniques.
o Understand and comply with Danfoss policies, procedures and
instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction,
attainment of business goals and environmental well-being.

Education and/or Experience
o Minimum High School diploma or General Education Degree
(GED).
o 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
o Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Email.
o Knowledge of handheld inspection tools, micrometers, calipers and
height gages.
o Basic understanding of engineering drawings including basic
GD&T.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in
English, write routine reports and correspondence and speak
effectively before others.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such basic math using
metric, GD & T and basic statistical techniques. Has the ability to
apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and
proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Can solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
